Why ATLAS exists
A lot of people do not know where their money goes. Not what they earn in a month, not what a night out really costs, not which charge went up. Most money apps answer that with a dashboard: here is your balance, here are your transactions, work it out. ATLAS was built to do the working out, and to say it in plain English: what is leaking, what is due, and what to change this month.
Our mission is to give our users the tool they need to reach their financial goals, and ultimately their financial freedom.
Why it is read-only
Because the biggest reason people do not connect a finance app is fear of what it could do once it is inside their bank. So ATLAS cannot do anything there. It has no ability to move money, pay a bill, or cancel a subscription. Your bank password is entered on your bank’s own page, through Plaid, and never reaches us. And deleting your account disconnects every bank at the source, so your data does not outlive your decision to leave.

What it will not do
ATLAS does not give investment, tax, or legal advice. It works out figures from your own accounts and explains them. Your data is not the product: it is never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never used to build a profile beyond your own report.
